This video shows you the difference between the iron swing and the driver swing. There are golfers out there that can hit their driver well but struggle to strike their irons and vice versa.

This golf lesson shows you exactly how to set up for both your driver swing and iron swing and then gives you 2 golf drills that can have you striking both your irons and woods so much sweater.

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Placebo Effect says:

I was considering not bothering with a wood off the tee anymore but after watching your video, I'm back up the driving range tonight for another go!

Tony Lopez says:

I needed this

0Raff0 says:

Hi Danny, really enjoyed your video. I look forward to practicing these drills. This was a dilemma I faced regularly. Just a quick question on this topic regarding the iron swing. Should I be doing this downward swing with an open or closed club face. What i mean to say is should I be addressing the club with a similar address like a PW or does it actually matter ? Thanks

speakeezie says:

Good lesson!

Nelson Than says:

I am having problem wood/hybird 3. since it is long and no pin (hitting from the ground).

Jan Mulder says:

Another fantastic explanation! You've got a new fan in the Netherlands now, Danny! Thanks a lot for sharing your great video lessons! Grtz!

Roger Roth says:

This is one of the most concise, clearest, cleanest wood and iron videos I've ever seen. Thank you. Can't wait to try to apply. You must be a great teacher!

Jancen says:

Do you let your wrist cock unhinge naturally right before impact or do you intentionally do it? Not sure if I'm clear about my question. I tend to forcefully unhinge my right wrist on the downswing to compress the ball and now my fingers are hurting.

Cole Ryan says:

All of your videos are amazing and simple!! Love it! Keep it coming!

Rob B says:

Thanks for more hints. I am finding the simple explanations easy to follow and remember, and I am able to take them to the course. Practicing first of course.

Arthur Matthews says:

I did like this as after being away from golf for a couple of years it reminded me of the importance of hitting up on the driver, with of course a correct stance to help achieve this

Greg Boggs says:

How about hybrids and fairway woods Danny?

Charlie Clark says:

Charlie Clark says:

Charlie Clark says:

LOVE IT.GREATE JOB

John Morello says:

You’re doing it correctly. Reverse the swing and see where the end and finish posture is; then do what is required to get there.
Genius teacher.

Tom Keane says:

Just stumbled on this video. Having consistency issues with the irons so watched and found the strike down advice to be sensible. Took it to the range and the results were impressive. I’ll watch some more. Good advice. Thank you.

Birger Skov-Hansen says:

Danny you such a good teacher coz you are people teacher!
Any golf guru can teach golf n tell student to do ABC…but you dont just do that you discuss the common mistakes makes by golfers n you point out mistakes n gave drills to put them right!!!
That's why you the best!!!

Albany Fx says:

Don’t we still worry hitting the driver too high? My driver launch angle is 19 degrees.

Brian Davies says:

This is golf tuition at its best. Not only the What but the How and, most importantly, the Why is clearly explained. Great stuff Danny.

Cummins Car Centre says:

Hi Danny. Watched your video above yesterday. Brought what you said to the course last night and there was a big difference in my driving and iron play. My drives are now a control fade as oppose to a massive slice. Thanks for breaking it down so simple. Regards Damian
